Tokie TK-1000 Network Radio
Tokie TK1000 4G Android phone and Network Radio.
What is a network radio?
The main difference between a standard mobile phone and a network radio is a press to talk button on the side of the “Phone” which allows you to use walkie-talkie style apps much easier than on a standard mobile phone.
Even when the phone is “asleep” the walkie-talkie app can easily be accessed by simply pressing the PTT (Push to talk) button.
Why would you use a walkie-talkie phone?
Other than the PTT button there is little difference. You can use it just like you would any other android phone for example, you have access to the Google Play Store to purchase/ download apps. Use all your regular apps, email, music etc.
However, with a walkie-talkie app you can talk either – “one to one” – or “one to a group” instantly. You can also talk anywhere in the world. (Subject to either network or wifi coverage).
This how much easier it would be to speak to a group or colleagues, friends or family regardless of where they are in the country or even the world. Yes you can call them buy phone, but how long would it take to call even five people to make plans for work or a social event with people wanting add pieces of information along the way.
Employers can instantly speak to an entire workforce. Parents can speak to their kids at university hundreds of miles away, and families can keep in contact with the elderly or vulnerable.
It is easy to set up private and public groups so no-one can hear your conversations (Some private services may require an additional charge.)
