LDG AT-897Plus Autotuner for FT-897D, If you own a Yaesu FT897 and want a broad range automatic antenna tuner, look no further! The AT-897Plus Autotuner mounts on the side of your FT-897 just like the original equipment. We even added the ability to mount the “feet” on the side of the tuner so when you are transporting your rig by the handle, you can safely set it down and not worry about scratching the case.

The AT-897Plus is microprocessor controlled and features the tuning ability our customers have come to expect from our products. The tuner has a front panel button to initiate the tuning sequence while lowering the RF power to 25 watts and will bypass the tuner if pressed momentarily. The red LED lights during while the tuner is active.

The AT-897Plus takes power directly from the CAT port of the FT-897 and provides a second CAT port on the back of the tuner so if you are using another CAT device, hooking it up couldn’t be easier.

If you are a QRP enthusiast or plan on operating via internal batteries, the AT-897Plus is your tuner! The AT-897Plus does not need a fan, let alone one that is constantly running. Current consumption when it is tuned is in the micro-amp range. Since we use latching relays, you can even remove power from the tuner after you have tuned on the band you are going to operate!

LDG AT-1000PROII | Automatic ATU

Like most LDG tuners the AT-1000ProII operates automatically, beginning a tuning cycle whenever the SWR exceeds a preset limit. To protect its circuitry, the tuner will not tune at power levels above 150 watts; bypass your amplifier (or place it in Standby) to complete a tuning cycle using only the exciter. The AT-1000ProII also features LDG’s advanced memory tuning, providing 2,000 memory locations; when tuning near a previously used frequency it will recall the settings for nearly instant tuning. It learns your favourite frequencies and bands as you use it. You can also start a tuning cycle manually whenever necessary.

The AT-1000ProII has a large, easy-to-read bar-graph wattmeter that shows forward and reverses power with two selectable ranges (100 and 1,000-watt scales) and an SWR meter. The AT-1000ProII will interface with many popular transceivers so you can start a tuning cycle with the radio’s TUNE button. Dedicated control buttons on the tuner allow you to fine-tune capacitance and inductance on those rare occasions when the AT-1000ProII can’t find a perfect match by itself.

The AT-1000ProII features two output connectors so you can easily switch between two antennas. There are 2,000 memory locations for each antenna, allowing nearly instant returning on frequencies you’ve used before.

The AT-1000ProII will tune from 1.8 to 54.0 MHz continuously and will match Yagis, dipoles, inverted-Vs, slopers, or virtually any coax-fed antenna from 6 to 1000 ohms impedance (16 – 150 ohms on 6 meters). Tuning time is normally under 10 seconds; memory tuning time is under 0.2 seconds. Long wires or antennas fed with ladder line require an external balun, not included.

ABOUT LDG Z-11 PRO 2 – AUTOMATIC ANTENNA TUNER

The LDG Z-11ProII is a small, low-cost automatic tuner suitable for any amateur purpose, whether base, mobile or portable. It handles up to 125 watts SSB or 30 watts Digital, but requires only 0.1 watts to tune, making it ideal for QRP operation.

Like most Generic LDG tuners, the Z-11ProII can operate automatically, beginning a tuning cycle whenever the SWR exceeds a preset limit. It also features LDGs advanced memory tuning, providing 2,000 memory locations; when tuning near a previously used frequency it will recall the settings for nearly instant tuning. It learns your favorite frequencies and bands as you use it. You can also start a tuning cycle manually whenever necessary.

The LDG Z-11ProII has features found in larger LDG tuners, such as dedicated buttons for manually fine-tuning the match. This can be useful when tuning an antenna far from resonance.

The LDG Z-11ProII requires very little electrical power; when not tuning the current draw is negligible. An internal battery holder for eight AA batteries will operate the tuner for a year of normal use. This feature makes the Z-11ProII especially suitable for mobile or portable operation.

The LDG Z-817 is an automatic tuner intended for use with the Yaesu FT-817/818 QRP transceiver. It interfaces with the transceiver through its CAT port, providing full control of the tuning cycle. An included CAT/Power cable interfaces with your FT-817/818. This makes it an integrated tuner powered by the interface; no extra power cables are needed. Just press the tune button on the tuner and the mode is set to carrier, the RF power is reduced, a tune cycle runs and the radio is returned to the original settings. A CAT pass through port is provided for computer control.

Sigma SE-HF 360 XP | 1KW Fibreglass Antenna

Sigma Euro-Comm SE-HF 360 XP Fibre Glass High Power 1kW Vertical antenna

The Sigma Euro-Comm Ltd HF360 is an end-fed vertical antenna, capable of allowing the user to work 80 meters through to 10 meters using an ATU. The antenna can be pole mounted at ground level or elevated depending on the user’s personal requirements. The antenna is rated at 1KW* pep. The antenna comes with fixings and an installation guide.

How it works: The antenna is fed using 50 Ohm coax via a SO-239 socket at the base of the unit a 4:1 UNUN transformer is located in an IP65 weather-sealed box at the bottom of the bracket section of the fibre glass elements. The antenna comes in four parts, three fibreglass poles and one stainless steel tapered whip. The transformer reduces the impedance at the feed point to a more acceptable level making the antenna much more efficient and allowing proper and easy tuning via an external ATU and automatic ATU’s found in most modern radios.

The antenna can be grounded if the user experiences excessive local static noise, but as the UNUN is DC grounded: grounding will not affect the tuning ratios.

Please use a good quality 50 Ohm coax, rg-213 or Mini 8 are probably the best choice.

*1kW power rating is for intermittent amateur radio use (CW or PEP) for data modes (FT-x, RTTY, etc) or constant carrier data modes a lower maximum of 200 Watts is recommended.

*If you are using a high-power amplifier it is essential that an external ATU is used between the antenna and the amplifier, otherwise damage may occur.

Measurements were made using a Yaesu FTdx1200 and internal ATU and a Yaesu FT450D and external LDG-1200 ATU.
